A cloud weighs around a million tonnes. A cloud typically has a volume of around 1km3 and a density of around 1.003kg per m3 – that’s a density that’s around 0.4 per cent lower than the air surrounding it (this is how it can float).

Insects can fly up to 3.25km above sea level, at least. Alpine bumblebees have been found living as high up as 3.25km above sea level and could even fly in lab conditions that replicate the air density and oxygen levels at 9km – that’s just higher than Mount Everest.

The bones of the human body can multiply in density. This occurs in very extreme cases. People who have been discovered to have this rare gene mutation have cases of walking away from car accidents and other impact injuries without fractures.

Clouds hold a lot of weight. The fluffy cotton clouds you see in the sky can hold over one million pounds. Its weight is calculated by taking the water density and multiplying it by its volume.

1 tsp of neutron star weighs the same as the human population. A neutron star’s density is mind-boggling. These stars are composed almost entirely of neutrons packed together in a tiny radius. Just a teaspoonful of this material would weigh over a trillion kilograms — more than the weight of the entire human population (which reaches a few hundred billion kilograms). To make something as dense as a neutron star, the whole of humanity would need to be crammed into a space the size of a sugar cube.
