At this point, it’s almost certain that every person in the world has received one of these emails, including actual Nigerian royalty. It turns out that there’s a good reason these scams are littered with mistakes in spelling, grammar, and punctuation. This essentially filters out those who are less gullible and simply ignore the emails, while those more likely to be defrauded will ignore the typos and reply!
